Join us for a fun filled day learning about cover crops. As a small farmer, market gardener, or back yard gardener, incorporating and terminating cover crops can be a bit challenging. Russell Hedrick, a local farmer and soon-to-be cover crop company owner, will share his experience and knowledge about different types of covers, including new and upcoming varieties best suited for the area. Come learn about how to terminate your fall cover crop and learn about different summer cover crop varieties. We will also have a demonstration about different equipment that’s more adaptable for small farmers. The program agenda is as followed:
