Parents Night Out

The Catawba County Youth Council and Catawba County Library have teamed-up to offered a Parent’s Night Out for Valentine’s Day at the Newton Main Library on Saturday, February 10 from 5:00-9:00 p.m. Parents can enjoy an evening out, while children ages 4 and older, participate in after-hours library activities such as movies, crafts, game, and even pizza dinner. Child care and actives will be led by teens in the Youth Council’s high school leadership program. The cost of the evening is $15 per child. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the United Way Youth grants program. The grant program provides funding for youth serving agencies for community projects each year.

Children should be dropped-off at the lower staff entrance of the Main Library located at 115 West C Street, Newton for the evening event.

The Youth Council is a leadership program for high school student offered through Catawba County Government in partnership with United Way.
