Compost Day Celebration

May 29, 2019

6–7 p.m.

Main Library at Newton Community Garden

Composting is the most practical and convenient way to manage yard and food waste. Compost improves topsoil and helps return organic matter to the soil in nutrient form. Enriched soils enhance the health of plants, and healthy plants help clean the air and conserve the land, making communities a healthier place to live.

Come join us at the Main Library at Newton Community Garden on Wednesday, May 29 and learn how to start composting in your back yard! This event will feature a live compost demonstration and a special kids corner so bring the whole family.

The first 25 people to register will receive a brand new back yard compost bin ($100 value). One compost bin per registration. Registration is required.
