Circle of Parents®

Circle of Parents® provides a friendly, supportive environment led by parents and other caregivers. It’s a place where anyone in a parenting role can openly discuss the successes and challenges of raising children. It’s a place where they can find and share support.

How?

By sitting down and really talking with others in similar circumstances, the experience fosters an open exchange of ideas, support, information and resources. The Circle of Parents model encourages weekly meetings and are free of charge. Nationwide, these kinds of groups serve those parenting children of all ages and families of all types. These groups across the country operate under different names and organizations.

Who?

Our local group is sponsored by Parent to Parent Family Support Network of the High Country (P2PFSNHC) with support from grants and Appalachian State University. P2PFSNHC provides support, resources and caring connections to families who have a child, birth to age 21, with special physical, emotional, behavioral, intellectual, developmental or health care needs. The Circle of Parents model fits perfectly with our mission to help families who have children with special needs connect with each other.
