Children will join a trained 4-H teen volunteer each Tuesday and Thursday morning from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. as they lead a group reading and follow-up activity. Two sessions are available - June 23-July 7 or July 21- August 6. Both sessions are the same, so please register for only ONE session.

Some of the books include Toughest Cowboy, Marvelous Mattie, Scrambled States, and others. Books were selected by the Catawba County Library staff. Books used for Reading Buddies are available for families to pick-up from the Catawba County Cooperative Extension Office and use during the program duration, so children can read along each week. The set of books needs to be returned within 2 business days of program completion, otherwise families will be charged $70 for the books.
