2024 Broiler Chicken Project

Join the project and get chicks to raise and show at the Hickory American Legion Fair. The project costs $10 per participant and open to ages 5 - 18. Maximum of 30 participants will be accepted. The number of chicks provided to each participant will be determined upon availability and final number of participants registered. Pick up day is TBD. More instructions will be provided to registered families. Birds must be processed at the end of the project. Registration deadline is Monday, June 24. Informational meeting will be June 24 at 6:00 pm at the Extension office.

Registration for the 4-H Broiler Project is accepted in 4-H Online

Log into your 4-H Online account and look under EVENTS to see the Broiler Project. Click on the items to register and follow the prompts.
Payment is needed to confirm your registration.
If you are new to 4-H and not currently in 4-H Online, you will need to create a family profile and add your child participating in 4-H.
If you are not part of a club, you can select Member-at-Large when asked to select a club.
