4-H Steer Calf Project Informational Meeting & Sign-Ups

Does your child have an interest in learning about raising & showing livestock? * Then this is the project for your family! *
- Receive a 2 or 3-week old steer calf for the low startup cost of $150
- Learn to raise, care for, and show a steer
- Your child will have the opportunity to show the steer in at least 2 shows
- Your child will be trained in showmanship and grooming techniques
- Volunteers and a veterinarian will be available to answer questions
- Animals must be sold at the end of the project

Participating families will receive more detailed training about caring for the calf at a required orientation meeting on January 23, 2024, at 6:30 pm.
