Register with Eventbrite.

High School students will learn helpful information to plan the journey from high school to college and career success with Roadmap to College.

The program includes four online interactive sessions on Thursday afternoons, on June 11 and 25 and July 2 and 9, 2020. Topics will include connecting your interest to college majors and careers, exploring types of higher education options, navigating college websites to compare and explore options, and applying for scholarships and financial aid. In the last sessions will focus on a timeline for seniors to help them prepare important college items while juggling everyday academics, too.

Two registration options are available. The free options will allow students to participate in all the online sessions. With the $15 Eventbrite ticket, students will qualify to receive some college items, based on attendance and participation. The program is offered as part of the 4-H Juntos program, but is open to any interested high school student. The instructors are Katelyn Houser, Juntos Coordinator at St. Stephens High School, and Holly Ellwanger, with NC 4-H Juntos staff.

Juntos is a 7-year Roadmap to Collegegrant-funded program offered at St Stephens High School and Arndt Middle School. The program is designed to encourage family engagement in education, reduce Latino drop-out rate, and encourage and support students to pursue higher education.
