Feel confident in these plant selections; these varieties are recommended for the Catawba County area by our Ag Agents.
Strawberries: Bundle of 25 – $12.00
- Allstar – Mid-season. Recommended for beginners with a standard of consistency in difficult conditions. Produces a large crop of light-colored sweet berries. Excellent fresh eating.
- Jewel – #1 midseason variety. Performs well over a wide range of growing conditions. Consistent performance.
Blueberries: $13.00 each
- Powder Blue – Medium to large size fruit, darker blue in color. Upright highly productive plant.
- Premier – Early to mid-season producer with large fruit.
- Brightwell – Produces outstanding yields of deep blue berries.
Blackberries: $15.00 each
- Ponca – Sweet and flavorful, known for producing large crops.
- Ouachita – Sweet thorn-less blackberry, very prolific.
Raspberries: $10.00 each
- Heritage – Known for producing large crops of very large and sweet berries.
Asparagus: Bundle of 10 – $15.00
- Millennium – Produces high-quality spears that are tender and delicious.
- Mary Washington – Known to be easy to grow, disease resistant and cold hardy.
Muscadines: $15.00 each
- Ison – Beautiful black variety, excellent for juice and wine.
- Tara – Produces good size quality fruit, disease resistant.
Elderberry Pairs: $20.00 per pair
- Adam – A very popular intensely flavored fruit, ripens late August.
- John – Produces large clusters of large sweet berries.
