Plant Descriptions

Strawberries: Bundle of 25 – $12.00

Sweet Charlie – produces a large sweet berry that tastes like it has sugar on it, fresh from the field. This variety is good for southern growers and withstands heat and humidity well.

Jewel – #1 midseason variety, recommended for commercial growers and home gardeners. Large berries with superb quality and flavor. Performs well over a wide range of growing conditions. Consistent performance. Plants have moderate winter hardiness.

Blueberries: $13.00 each

Powder Blue – Medium to large size fruit, darker blue in color; sweet taste. Upright highly productive plant; good foliage. Blooms late in season.

Premier – Early to mid-season producer with large fruit that possesses excellent flavor. Premier is highly productive. Plants grow upright with good foliage.

Ochlockonee Rabbiteye – very late variety that produces large and delicious, sweet berries. The berries are a deep blue color that is firm and keeps well. This is a very heavy bearer variety that blooms late protecting your harvest from late freezes.

Blackberries: $15.00 each

Von – the first thornless blackberry released from North Carolina State University. Von has exceptional qualities such as very high yields of fruit. The fruiting season is mid to late season. Von has large uniform fruit and great sweet fruit quality that is sweet and a favorite to many. One of the favorite qualities of Von is its small seed size.

Quachita – Sweet thorn-less blackberry has very upright and erect canes. It has excellent flavor and is very prolific. Ripens mid-season and their fruiting extends for about five weeks.

 Raspberries:  $10.00 each

Heritage – Known for producing large crops of very large and sweet berries that are dark red in color. Good for freezing as well as making jellies and jams. Ripen in summer and fall.

Asparagus:  Bundle of 10 – $15.00

UC157 – The most productive and highest yielding asparagus variety available. Large uniform spears that are non-stringy and have an unbeatable flavor that is tender and delicate.

 Mary Washington – Known to be easy to grow, disease resistant and delicious, Mary Washington is a frost hardy, vigorous plant.

Elderberry Pairs:  * $23.00 per pair *   

Adams – A very popular intensely flavored fruit with rich aroma. Ripens late August. Extremely hardy. Produces soft, dark purple berries that make the best jams, jellies and wines. Requires pollination, provided by “John” in this pair.

 John – Produces huge clusters of large sweet, purplish-black berries that are wonderful for pies and delicious homemade wines. Grows well in sun or shade even in wet conditions. Requires pollination, provided by “Adams” in this pair.
